Mariners finally win series
It took until the end of April but the Seattle Mariners finally have won a series. In a four game series they won 3 out of 4 against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
Every M’s fan in the world is saying it’s about time. With the series win, the Mariners improved to 11-16 and took third place from the Angels.
This has been a rather average April for the Mariners. They yet again have finished below .500. On the bright side, Dustin Ackley and Kyle Seager are acutually starting to hit the ball rather well, and Felix Hernandez and Hisashi Iwakuma are the best 1-2 punch of any starting rotation. Tom Wilhelmsen is also perfect in save opportunities with 8/8
On the not so bright side, Justin Smaok is looking like his major league career is over, the M’s have two painfully average pitchers in Aaron Harang and Joe Saunders, and Seattle is still struggling to score more than two runs a game.
It’s still very early in the season, but it’s looking like Seattle would be lucky to even finish .500 this year.
